”I will be fine…I will be fine in time”

They say life happens when you’re busy making other plans and that is exactly what has happened this year. Music artists around the world including Red Electrick had most of the year all planned out with music releases, gigs and events, however the global pandemic covid-19 halted those plans due to social distancing and restrictions.

Music is the language that unites us and even though events and gigs have been postponed or cancelled, the music continued and stages were replaced by terraces, balconies and living rooms

‘’ ‘I WILL BE FINE’ was not planned to be an official release single from us. It is a song in our latest album ’Tragic Optimistic’ which we decided to spontaneously put out on all local radio stations because the lyrics are very relatable during this particular time in our lives. We released an acoustic version of this song on Instagram and we instantly had messages from radio stations to put it out, so we said, why not!” – said Peter Borg, the band’s lead guitarist and producer.

“The beauty of music is that every listener can relate to a song in different ways and ‘I will be fine’ is one of those songs. The lyrics revolve around taking a leap of faith and chasing a dream you might not have thought was possible to pursue, however ‘I will be fine’ can also be a message of hope, knowing that people around you love you and are there to support you no matter what.” – commented REK’s lead singer and lyricist Joe Roscoe.

These trying times can take a toll on us and we may feel lonely and isolated more than ever before, but knowing that we will be fine and coming together with our loved ones will make a big difference in how we adapt to this new form of normality and way of life.

Stay Safe, Stay Home. . . We will get through this and come out stronger.

Let’s all try to remain optimistic in this tragedy and remember that we will be fine.
